Eight players who were on rosters for Season 15 have retired from the league. They join 67 others whose names have been removed from the players list on the Attributes page of the Websim website. While Alexander Ovechkin scored 6 points in his 8 games, the only retiree who saw significant ice time was Marcus…

EURO general managers will have quite a decision to make at the end of the year in deciding which player gets the coveted Rookie of the Year trophy.  We don’t remember any year with so many quality candidates. It will probably boil down to who Websim’s system places at the top of the five-player candidates list.…

Websim’s mid-season evolution is the time when – for the most part – all of the league’s older players age a little faster, while the younger players mature a bit. Stockholm HC benefitted the most this season, with four players whose OV and PO ratings went up 2 points. Forwards Adrian Kempe, Daniel Sprong and…

More than 15 seasons ago, the initial draft for the EURO League was held. A total of 624 players were drafted through 26 rounds. Boy, it seemed to take a long time.  Only two of those 624 players have been with their original team ever since … and one has still never gotten into a…

History is expected to be made tonight (Oct. 29 in Websim time) when Sarah Nurse takes the ice for Stockholm. Stockholm General Manager Delwin Y, whose team is currently in 20th place in the 24-team league, announced the roster move this morning. Nurse, whose cousin Darnell plays for Hanover, gets a baptism of fire because…

In the early weeks of the EURO League, 624 players were selected in the initial draft. Of those 624, only 4 are still with the team that picked them. Some like Tyler Myers of Bratislava, Ryan O’Reilly of Athens and Jack Johnson of Helsinki, are still with the team that originally drafted them, but they…

Copenhagen General Manager Martin Sayle will have a lousy Season 14 draft position because his team will finish near the top of the league in Season 13. But even before the draft starts, Sayle and Trident fans will feel like they just gained 3 first-round picks. That’s because of the draft selections Sayle made in…
