Alex Formenton

At the end of the first round, the champs took a defensive forward who can help pretty soon, and at the end of Round 2, General Manager Igor Kirunov went with one of the youngest players he could get.  Alex Formenton, 18, scored about a point per game with the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League and he’s property of the Ottawa Senators in the NHL. He is a left wing with good size and he joins Hussar prospects Yegor Korshkov, German Rubtsov, Colin White and Nick Suzuki as young forwards expected to mature together in Belarus. Unless he trades them, Kirunov still has the final two picks of the draft still coming his way.
