Maxime Comtois

Big, quick and skilled is how scouts describe Maxime Comtois, a Canadian left wing who was previously drafted by the NHL’s Anaheim Ducks. He just because property of the Bern Interrail. With the Victoriaville Tigres in the QMJHL, Comtois saw his production drop a little from 2016 to 2017, but then he saw it improve dramatically for 2018. He can score goals, performed well for Team Canada in the World Juniors, and Bern GM Paja Jansson could have come up with a steal here.

Michal Kristof

Bratislava didn’t get to pick until the 46th pick of the draft, but GM Chuck Massaro said he is happy with the selection of Michael Kristof. The fact that he grew up an Eagles fan about 95 kilometers east of Bratislava was not a major consideration, according to Massaro. “Of the players left, he stood out with his speed and finesse. We had a lot of luck with Evgeny Solomonov and we see Kristof as a similar player.” The knocks on Kristof are that he’s too small and he doesn’t work hard often. Massaro sees Kristof getting a lot of powerplay time later in his career.

Robin Salo

The Athens Gods then picked a great skating defenseman in prospect Robin Sal, who is also in the New York Islanders organization in the NHL. Scouts like his on-ice vision and poise under pressure. Salo joins Samuel Morin, Noah Juulsen and Nicholas Hague as prospect defensemen in the Athens system.
