Three top wingers announce they are for sale

Evander Kane, Tyler Ennis and Thomas Powell are among the EURO players who have already told their teams “don’t bother setting up a meeting on my next contract, because I’m not interested in staying here.”

Kane, 30, of Madrid, stands to make a fortune in the free agent market. His 92 OV rating ties him for best in the league. He has scored 30 or more goals in 5 seasons and 29 goals in two others. He has spent the last two seasons with the Royals after stints in Belfast and Dublin.

Ennis, a 32-year-old RW, once took Bratislava to arbitration and then announced he would test the market the next season. He was snapped up by the Smurfs and almost won a Cup with them last season, but that was not good enough for him. He announced he is not interested at all with the prospect of talking to Berlin GM Guybrush Threepwood this summer. Who can blame him? Ennis has four 30-goal seasons on his resume.

Powell, 30, became a key member of the Hussars since he joined them in Season 2, and by Season 10 the Australian was playing top line minutes. He scored 76 points last season. In Season 8, after winning his second EURO Cup, he was voted as the league’s Best Defensive Forward. Now he wants to leave Belarus.

Other players with OV ratings of 80 or higher who “Don’t want to negotiate” include:

  • Max Pacioretty, Moscow
  • Darcy Kuemper, Madrid
  • Chris Kreider, Madrid
  • Gareth Roberts, Madrid
  • Josef Vasicek, Paris
  • Ondrej Pavelec, Geneva
  • Phil Kessel, London
