Alexander Volkov

Alexander Volkov was born in Moscow but he’s spent almost all of young hockey career playing in St. Petersburg. After being drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning of the NHL, he ventured across the sea to play in the AHL, but the 20-year-old RW might have a return to St. Petersburg in his future. Krasnyye Zvezdy General Manager Ben Stuller, took Volkov with pick No. 34 in the draft. He gets a rugged 6-1 kid who scored 23 goals and took 63 PIM in Syracuse, Tampa Bay’s AHL affiliate. Volkov is the sixth prospect forward in the Petrograd organization.

Jaret Anderson-Dolan

Like Volkov, Jaret Anderson-Dolan will be living in the EURO League with the attributes he gets after his first NHL season. Anderson-Dolan is a bubbly 18-year-old center in the Los Angeles Kings organization and today we was selected by Helsinki right after Volkov went to St. Petersburg. The industrious forward played Junior hockey with the Spokane Chiefs and he saw his point total go up 15 points this year from the previous season. He definitely has leadership qualities and has worn a “C” or an “A” for four different teams in his career. In Helsinki, he is now part of the Jukka Tuominen Collection of Prospects. The JTCP currently consists of 12 players, 10 of them forwards. Anderson-Dolan might have to scratch and claw his way to good ice time, but he has been doing that his whole career already.
