Not long after the new GM of Team USA left the building Saturday, the GM of the Stockholm Eagles, Michael Sauer, walked in the league office building in the capital of music. Michael’s assistant, an older Swedish lady named Berit, who has been acquainted with Accounant Rose for a long time, was also with him. Rose and Berit once worked on the planning of a bus trip to two casinos for the Southwest Vienna Senior Ladies Club and Rose called Berit for support right after Milan GM David Bell strode past her desk carrying chocolate and flowers. (Bell presented Rose with flowers not long after.)
While in Vienna, Sauer had made the effort of trying to find Swedish merchandise in several shops. The task was virtually impossible; all he could find close to being Swedish was a catalog from IKEA. “Give Rose the package of coffee you brought from Sweden” Berit insisted. Sauer – who loves his cofffee – looked at her with anxiety in his eyes.
They found Rose in the lunchroom, filling water in a vase for the flowers. Sauer walked up to her and painfully said, “This is for you”. Rose checked the bag and saw the red plastic cube, and read “Gevalia” and busted out “Oooh, Swedish coffee, thank you! Thank you very much! Here, we only drink that brown water, imported from America they call coffee that the commissioner persist we have.”
Sepp Blatter overheard the conversation and came running into the lunchroom. “Thank God! No more American coffee!”
Commissioner Massaro once again stood peeping through his office door, thinking, “my God, is coffee the answer of this financial crisis in EURO? Maybe if I provide Rose with Swedish coffee she will find a way to make it work in next years budget.”
In the lunchroom Sepp Blatter now stood with a cup of freshly brewed Swedish coffee and offered Michael Sauer whatever he wished (Blatter who has a history of bribery while he was the President of FIFA) and did not hesitate when Michael told him he was in Vienna for the role of being the GM of Team North America. And clarified that the coffee was a gift for the office and not something else. Both men smiled.

Mr. Sauer and assistant Berit exited the building carrying large folders. It was the scout reports of every single player 25 years old and younger.
“Lets get home to Stockholm and get to work” Michael shouted.
Team North America will consist of players from Canada and USA that are 25 years old and younger. The first scout reports of the Bern Press described them like this:
“Scoring won’t be problem for these youngsters. Nugent-Hopkins and MacKinnon will probably lead this team for high scoring games. Maybe followed by players like Gostisbehere, Gallagher and rookie Auston Matthews.”
GM Michael Sauer sure will have a great time selecting his players.
