71 players announce retirement

The top three scorers and the top-scoring defenseman in EURO League history will suit up for at least another season, but the fourth-leading scorer, two of the top 3 point-producing defensemen and 67 other players have decided to retire.

Staying for Season 18 are league legends John Tavares, Steven Stamkos, Alex Pietrangelo – all with Paris – and Milan’s Logan Couture. But the list of new retirees includes Erik Karlsson, who helped Helsinki win the Cup last season and Jonathan Toews, who is fourth in scoring all-time. The retirees list includes several popular defensemen who put together strong careers: Kris Letang, John Carlson, Drew Doughty, Travis Hamonic and Romas Josi, among others.

This is a list of the players who announced their retirement. Parentheses indicate players who played in Season 17.
