Danish left wing Matthias Asperup, 19, is now a member of the Bern Interrail and must now, by law, hate the Berlin Smurfs. Asperup plays in Denmark and has represented the country in more than 100 international games during his lifetime. The draft guide said this about him: Asperup might develop into a decent puckhandler/ possession forward in the EURO League. Scouts like his basic tool kit although they would like to see him increase his work rate and gym workouts. He has extensive experience at the international level and has been a good point producer for the red and white. Asperup is patient on the ice and would be a good powerplay guy along the boards. With Bern, he will always be behind Finn Sebastien Aho on the depth chart, but he is looking at significant playing time once older players like Lance Bouma and Kjetil Martinsen filter out of the system.
