With a pick obtained two seasons ago as part of an Alexander Ovechkin trade, Dublin General Manager Gayle Rock picked Californian Troy Loggins, a center with a well-rounded game.

Loggins, 22, is smaller than most scouts and coaches would like, but he does everything pretty well. He might not be dynamic enough to draw top line numbers until the end of his career, but he will evolve into a reliable, hard-working center. At Northern Michigan university this past season, he showed a lot of improvement.

Dublin took Calvin Thurkauf, a 20-year-old left wing who can provide offense. U25s on Dublin include forwards Loggins, Thurkauf, Pierre-Luc Dubois, Christian Dvorak, Teuvo Teravainen and defenseman Hampus Lindholm.
